TORONTOTOKYO to captain BetBoom Team EEU all-star roster
TORONTOTOKYO to captain BetBoom Team EEU all-star roster

BetBoom Team just unveiled an explosive roster stacked with Eastern European (EEU) Dota 2 stars. Young prodigy, Pure, and dominant offlaner, Nightfall, returns to the region now wearing the colors of BetBoom. Save- comes out of his long hibernation to once again compete among the best. Strong midlaner, gpk joins the boat. All these stars would be captained by TI10 winner and Team Spirit’s former midlaner, TORONTOTOKYO.

BetBOOM Team’s Dota 2 roster for the 2022/2023 DPC season is as follows:

1. Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko
2. Danil “gpk” Skutin
3. Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko
4. Vitalie “Save-” Melnic
5. Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek
6. Anatoly “boolk” Ivanov (Coach)

Yes, that was a lot to take in. So let’s break down the BetBoom Team Dota 2 roster for you.

TORONTOTOKYO: A new role

Twenty-five-year-old TI winner, TORONTOTOKYO has experienced it all – winning the prestigious TI through the Lower Bracket, delivering an underdog story, and claiming the world’s largest esports prize pool. Together with Team Spirit, he marched once again into TI11 but he sees a different story to his run as Team Spirit was knocked out early. So for the 2023 DPC season, he decided to switch up.

TORONTOTOKYO mutually parted ways with Team Spirit and explored a different side that no one would have predicted. He joins BetBoom Team, not as a midlaner, but as a position 5 and a captain. Though this is surprising, TORONTOTOKYO would likely serve well as a captain. At least from his moments and contributions that we saw in True Sight, we can assume that he is capable to deliver.

Save- strikes back

After what seemed like centuries of Save-’s disappearance from the pro scene, the highly-demanded support player is back on track. He last played for Virtus.pro and he showcased an impressive captaincy, despite being a young player himself. The team seemed convincing at TI10 but they fell to then-champions, Team Spirit.

Save went into hiatus and fans were left wondering about his absence. It appeared that Save- himself rejected offers and was not interested to play for any team throughout 2022. Finally, the 20-year-old returns on the surface of Eastern European Dota 2, now wearing the colors of BetBoom.

Pure and Nightfall: The return of the prodigies

BetBoom also managed to bring back Pure and Nightfall, who had been playing in other regions. Pure, the former carry for Entity had been under the spotlight for his dominant performance throughout the year. He rose as one of the breakout carry prodigies in the scene and will now bring his potential back to EEU.

On the other hand, Nightfall who had been serving as Evil Geniuses’ offlaner retains his role in BetBoom Team. Despite EG’s disappointing run throughout the year, many have praised Nightfall for his brilliant performance that managed to keep EG afloat despite him switching roles prior to the season.

BetBoom, the EEU menace

Talented midlaner, gpk rounds up the team. Despite his stained reputation from his unpleasant interactions in pubs, there is no denying that gpk has what it got to annihilate opponents. The cherry on top is the former Virtus.pro coach, boolk who will be helping this BetBoom Team’s new Dota 2 roster.

On paper, there is no discussion. BetBoom Team is the biggest threat in EEU DPC for the upcoming season and we are all here for it. The mix of raw talent, experience, and possible chemistry paint the team as the new powerhouse but of course, we shall see.
