The library of games that you can play while sitting in a parked motor vehicle just expanded massively, as Tesla Model X and S now have full Steam integration.

In a tweet yesterday from the official Tesla account, we saw Cyberpunk 2077 running on a Tesla, as well as a user browsing the Steam library via a touchscreen. Release notes offer further details, suggesting that any game that’s been verified for a Steam Deck will work on Tesla, and you can use cloud synchronization to pick up where you left off on other devices. That means there are over 6000 games compatible.
Previously, Tesla has integrated games like 1991’s Sonic the Hedghog, various classic Atari games, and Cuphead into Teslas, but it’s been teasing more powerful games like Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 for some time now.
While previously, you were able to play these games while actively driving the car, last year Tesla nixed the feature while cars are in motion due to safety concerns from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. So while you can play all these games in a Tesla, you can only do it while the car is stopped.
The same update also added a number of other features, including a “Dog Mode” allowing users to monitor dogs temporarily left in the car when the driver is away, and a light show mode that lets multiple cars coordinate on a synchronized headlight show.
