Knights Carnage Cup #5: Scores, teams and how to watch

The fifth Knights Carnage Cup will see 20 invited teams from North America compete for a share of $10,000. It will take place on December 5th at 5 EST/10PM GMT, and teams will play 6 games. 3x Worlds Edge and 3x Storm Point.

The previous editions of the Carnage Cup have been hotly contested. NRG are the defending champions, with Cloud9 going back to back in the two events prior. This event will be especially interesting, as we are in the midst of the final weeks of the ALGS Pro League. Third party tournaments spread between ALGS gamedays give teams the opportunity to try things out in preparation for the weekend.

Prize pool and payouts

The Knights Carnage Cup will have a total prize pool of $10,000.

The payouts are as follows:

1st – $6,0002nd – $3,0003rd – $1,000

What is notable about the majority of events with $10,000 prize pools, is how this is split up. Only the top three teams earn any prize money. While the ongoing ALGS Pro League makes this valuable practice regardless of payout, keep an eye out for the final few games. Could teams shake up their gameplan to make a big run for a payout in the final few games?
