Jarla enters second Hearthstone World Championship
“I am super excited for this tournament,” Jarla told Esports.gg, adding that it’s his second time competing in this type of event. “I am looking forward to playing against the best players in the game and potentially make big results as I did back in 2020.”
To prepare for this year’s tournament, Jarla practiced with Casper “Hunterace” Notto and HiImJoZo. He also played a lot of ladder, looked into stats and chatted with others to figure out his deck list.

“Other than that, I will play practice games before submission and spam practice games once we know enemy deck lists. Just usual stuff like I always did,” Jarla added.
Jarla also noted that his Hearthstone World Championship 2022 group has 75% of the same players back in 2020. These include himself, Sato “glory” Kenta and Wu “XiaoT” Juwei.
Fulfilling a dream in Hearthstone esports
“It was always my dream to compete at the Hearthstone World Championship since I started competing in Hearthstone,” Jarla told Esports.gg. He achieved this back in 2020 and with this tournament, so another dream is to win it all.
“I was actually just one series away from the trophy while being favored in finals,” he said, referring to 2020. “Unfortunately, I ended up not playing optimally in two of the four games in finals, which cost me the entire series, losing 1-3 at the end. So yeah, it means a lot to me to be back at the Worlds and will see how it goes this time.”

Jarla and his Hearthstone journey
Jarla and his friends started playing Hearthstone when the game was still new. Since then, he’s achieved numerous accomplishments in the esports scene.
“Sadly, none of them plays the game anymore,” Jarla continued. “I am [a] super competitive person in any game I play, so yeah, I just want to be the best or at least at the top if possible and that keeps me going. Also I am misplaying all the time, so I just want to get better at any given moment.”
“Just want to thank everyone who likes to watch my matches and supports me. It means a lot!”

Jarla also shared a few of his favorite moments with us about his Hearthstone journey, noting the Hearthstone Global Games (HGG) and Hearthstone Grandmasters (HSGM).
“Starting with [the] HGG win with team Czech Republic back in 2017, winning Czech nationals in 2018 and 2021, winning GM seasons in 2020 and 2022 after being so close to the top multiple times,” he recalled. “Other than that, all the LAN events in 2017 to 2020 while traveling around the world with all my HS friends were amazing!”
As for parting words, Jarla thanked his friends and supporters. “Just want to thank everyone who likes to watch my matches and supports me,” he said. “It means a lot!”
That’s all for now. Stay tuned on Esports.gg for more Hearthstone news and updates!
