To accomplish this goal, we will be revealing our nominees for the best video games, movies, TV shows, comics and anime of 2022 over the course of this week, and next week the winners will be revealed. We wish the best of luck to all nominees and, win or not, they should all be proud of what they accomplished this past year.

To be eligible for IGN’s 2022 video game, movie, TV show, and comic awards, a significant portion of our editorial staff must have been able to view or play the title in question on or before December 2, 2022. We reserve the right to write-in any title as a nomination if it is released by December 9, 2020, or if enough of our editorial staff are able to judge the title in a pre-release environment.

In deciding which categories to hold awards for this year, we wanted to make sure we were able to include a variety of video games, movies, TV shows, comics and anime from a diverse range of talent.
