The Dota 2 battle pass has a history of crowdsourcing the TI prize pool – the pinnacle of Dota 2 esports. 25% of all battle pass proceeds go to funding The International every year. This year, Valve took a different approach with the battle pass, breaking it into two parts. The first part ended with TI11 and the second part started soon after. Here’s when the 2022 Dota 2 battle pass will end.
When does the Dota 2 Battle Pass end?
The 2022 Dota 2 battle pass comes to an end on January 12, 2023.
The release of the Dota 2 battle pass brought a resurgence of players to the game. Dota 2 crossed a million concurrent players for the first time in years. The resurgence in players was partly due to the battle pass and also because of the free arcanas that Valve decided to give away.
The International Swag Bag provided a host of benefits including:

The Dota 2 battle pass part 2 also included the CM persona and a Razor Arcana. The CM persona went live on November 3 with the release of Dota 2 battle pass part 2. The Razor Arcana will hopefully join the game in the next few weeks.
Diretide, one of the most popular game modes in Dota 2 also went live with part 2. The Dota 2 Diretide, often the target of the Give Diretide meme, has players scrambling for candy across the map. Players can collect the candy and deposit it in the enemy well to gain points and ultimately win. First started in 2012, the Diretide event has taken place several times over the past few years, making a resurgence in 2020 after a few years’ break.
The next season DPC 2023 will kick off soon with three Dota 2 Majors and shortened leagues. The there-week leagues will hopefully provide a better schedule for Dota pros. Last season, each League lasted six weeks and was often immediately followed by the Major.
