Warzone Mobile release date revealed – it’s coming next summer

The anticipated release date for Warzone Mobile is finally here! With the launch of Warzone 2.0, Activision has also launched the pre-registrations for Warzone Mobile on iOS–And with that has pulled the curtains on the release date.

The company had earlier already confirmed that the game will be coming sometime in 2023. Now fans can rejoice as the game is set for a summer launch.

Pre-orders have opened on the Apple App Store and with it the launch date for the game has been made public. The store says that the game is coming on May 23rd, 2023. This is likely the global launch date for the game so it could come earlier in a regional beta.

The pre-orders on the Apple Store have been launched just two days after the Warzone Mobile Global Summit, which took place in London, England. Some top mobile gaming creators participated in the event.

A popular YouTuber, Noah, revealed in a tweet the Global Summit was to do some early testing of the game and provide feedback.

Activision has been conducting closed alpha tests for the game. Here’s a look at its gameplay from one of these.

120 real players, cross-progression, and the return of Verdansk

What makes Warzone Mobile even more exciting is that Activision has confirmed that the game will have 120 real players. Almost all mobile battle royales use bots to fill up lobbies.

Verdansk is set to make a return for the BR mode in Warzone Mobile. Besides this, the game will likely feature other modes as well.

On top of this, the game will have cross-progression with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. All three Call of Duty games will share items and the battle pass.

The hype around the game has been high. Activision said in its Q3 2022 earnings release that the Warzone Mobile has already crossed 20 million pre-registrations just from the Google Play Store. With the pre-orders on the App Store, it should reach the 25 million pre-registration milestone soon which will unlock an operator as a reward.

The pre-registration award milestones are as follows:

5 million: Vinyl – Foes Flame and Emblem – Dark Familiar icons10 million: X12: Prince of Hell skin15 million: M4 – Archfiend skin25 million: Ghost Condemned operator

All players who pre-register will receive the rewards after the game is released.
