We’re a week away from the Overwatch 2 Season 2 launch and we now know the theme and goodies in-store. Along with new tempo tank Ramattra and a new, Nepal-adjace map in Shambali is an entire Greek-themed battle pass, with a Mythic Junker Queen skin waiting for those who can climb to Giant Lady Olympus.
Take a look at the trailer below.
A Season 2 pass for all seasons
Launching December 6, this battle pass is chock full of fantastic, new skins if the trailer is any indicator. Fans also got a small taste of what to expect from the Christmas event. This includes a look at an ice queen Brigitte skin and Zenyatta decked out in only the tastiest gingerbread.
Expect weekly shop skins such as the cyclops Roadhog skin, Widowmaker sporting a snaked-up motif, and everyone’s favorite charging tank Reinhardt as the Bull of Minos. Are we sure this isn’t a Hades cross-over?
In addition to new souvenirs, skins, and sprays, the update also includes a new, limited game mode. While no details are available, the Battle For Olympus game mode begins on January 5. According to Blizzard a new content roadmap is set for later today while the official loop at Shambali comes on December 2. The new payload map shares a similar aesthetic to Nepal but features a much darker tone, indicating that this may be the home base of Ramattra and the Omnic rebels.
And let’s not get started on the Mythic, Zeus-themed Junker Queen skin that features everyone’s favorite giant woman decked out in lighting and a brand new, terrifying axe. Someone should probably tell Kratos that the Greek gods are back and this time want to take over the payload.
Expect more details in the coming week and up to the release of Overwatch 2 Season 2 on December 6. Until then, keep an eye on esports.gg for all required news and updates.
