NRG has kickstarted its Valorant roster reveal for the upcoming season. NRG is one of the franchise orgs in North America and is set to announce its Valorant roster in the upcoming week.
First up is Chet “Chet” Singh, the former OpTic coach, who led OpTic through one of its most dominant runs in pre-franchise Valorant.
Not a new name for NRG: Across CS: GO And Valorant

Chet is not a new name for NRG fans having coached the org’s CS: GO and Valorant rosters previously. He has had a long-standing association with the organization and will be one of the key members of the NRG Valorant efforts in the first year of franchising.
Chet coached the NRG CS: GO roster for more than a year starting 2018. After he made the switch to Valorant, his first efforts were with the NRG Valorant in 2020. The team did not have a runaway success, but many of the players on that NRG roster are currently playing for Tier 1 orgs in Valorant. NRG Nerd Street Gamers – Monthly December under Chet and otherwise had decent top 8 placements in other tournaments.

Chet is most well-known for coaching the OpTic roster. Featuring one of the best Valorant players of all time, Yay, OpTic consistently made deep runs at Valorant tournaments. In fact, OpTic has always placed top three in tournaments this year. They lost 1-3 to LOUD in the VCT Champs Istanbul Grand Finals.
Valorant season starts with Brazil kickoff

The VCT season will start next year in February with the Kickoff tournament in Brazil. There are 30 franchised teams in Valorant with most of them expected to unveil their Valorant rosters in the next few weeks. Riot has also unveiled the format for the upcoming season.
Brazil is currently also hosting the IEM Rio Major in CS: GO. The enthusiasm and the passion of CS: GO fans provides hopes for a blockbuster VCT events debut next year.
