KD stands for kill/death ratio. This showcases how many kills you have compared to how many times you’ve been killed. It is one of the most important stats in all of gaming. A lot FPS players determine how good they are with this simple statistic. Call of Duty has always shared KD with its players, but that seems to be missing at the start of Modern Warfare 2. For now, the only way to check your KD in MW2 is at the end of a match.
Modern Warfare 2 is the “biggest” CoD launch ever on PlayStation
Sony says Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 enjoyed the “biggest” launch in the series, including preorders and day-one sales.
How to see your KD after a match in MW2

You can view the leaderboard while you’re playing any of the various MW2 modes. It changes once the game has completed, however. During a match, you’ll be able to see things such as your overall score, amount of kills and time spent holding an objective.
Once that match has completed, an altered leaderboard will be shown after the Final Kill Cam and just before you’re sent back to the lobby. The in-game leaderboard stats are still available with the total number of deaths now tacked on.

It doesn’t exactly let you check your KD ratio in MW2, but you can take the amount of kills and divide that by the amount of deaths. This will tell you the KD ratio number for that match. You might have to wait a bit to see your career KD for MW2.
Lifetime KD is not viewable

Previous Call of Duty titles have had a main menu option known as the Barracks. This is where you’d go to adjust your Clan Tag, change your profile banner or check your lifetime statistics. You were able to see how well you performed with certain weapons and in the game overall.
That seems to be missing with the latest Call of Duty entry. There is currently no way to check your lifetime KD in MW2. You’ll have to stick with doing the math at the end of each separate match. If you really want to know, you can keep track of every match you have played and figure out your KD that way.
That’ll be a lot work, though, so stay patient and hope that Infinity Ward adds the Barracks, or a similar area, to Modern Warfare 2. Technically the game is in Season 0 right now with Season 1 beginning on November 16, 2022. Any sort of overall KD tracker could be implemented at that time.
