Evil Geniuses adds BcJ and Ethan to its Valorant roster

Evil Geniuses entered Valorant at the start of 2021, but only one member of its original roster remains. That member is Christine “potter” Chi, who holds the Head Coach position. She has made it her goal to create a top tier Valorant squad for Evil Geniuses and may have just done so. The previously established five for EG remain intact and are now joined by Brendan “BcJ” Jensen and Ethan “Ethan” Arnold.

Interestingly enough, EG is going for a less than traditional roster size. They won’t stop at a starting five and a sub. The organization has announced seven players and in the reveal video shared on Twitter, potter indicated the team would look to field a 10-person roster.

That could mean more player announcements are on the way, but for now, a solid team is in place. BcJ joins after representing XSET at Champions 2022 and Ethan slots in after making a name for himself on 100 Thieves and NRG.

Guides

Many partnered Valorant teams either completely rebuilt themselves or kept only a couple of their original players, but Evil Geniuses went another route entirely. The players on EG prior to them becoming partnered are all staying put. That should do nothing but help them in the long run, as chemistry is often a make-or-break attribute in esports.

We’ll be able to see how well they fare if they partake in any of the OFF//SEASON. Otherwise, this new-look Evil Geniuses Valorant team will be waiting to show what they’re made of in Brazil. The 2023 VCT kicks off with a tournament there, deciding what region gets an extra slot at Champions.
