Valorant Agent 21 is from India and he plays with water. The controller agent has been teased for quite some time but Riot recently unveiled his official Agent trailer. Harbor’s Agent trailer focused on his backstory – specifically how he got his abilities. But it also showed us what his abilities look like during a fight scene. And they look exciting and unique.
Harbor’s abilities in Valorant
Harbor is an Indian agent, named Varun Batra. Hailing from India’s coastal city of Mumbai, he wields the ability to manipulate water. In Harbor’s Agent Trailer video, Riot gave us a glimpse at some of his abilities.
Ability 1 – Tidal Wall
The first ability allows Harbor to create a wall of water. He can bend the wall in a direction he so chooses.
However, this wall of water is different than normal water in that bullets do not seem to penetrate the wall. It won’t last forever, however, as the water wall does go down after some time. But those few seconds are usually more than enough to help you position yourself.
Ability 2 – Torrent Shield
The second ability showed in the video is a bubble. Harbor is seen inside a water bubble and no bullets can break into the bubble.
It’s not clear from the video whether Harbor can shoot outside the bubble. And we are still not sure if this is a self-ability only or if he can put bubbles around teammates to save them. But the bubble is definitely unique in all of Valorant and could present some interesting gameplay scenarios.
Ability 3 – Tidal Wave
The third ability visible in the video seems to be a wave, a wave of water. What this ability does is still not clear, but it does seem to be a repositioning ability – repositioning the enemies.
Ability 4 – Disc Detonation (?)
And finally the fourth ability – this may or may not be the ultimate – seems to be the use of a disc-shaped device, the same one that he had used during a motorcycle chase in the video earlier.
During the motorcycle chase, the device latched on to an enemy’s vehicle stalling them and rendering them ineffective. But in this instance, Harbor seems to be charging the disc in a puddle(?) that seems to have affected multiple opponents at once.
The fourth ability could be anything – from a AOE damage ability, an ability that concusses opponents. But the primary utility of this ability seems to be to control a large area. It could be pivotal in clearing out bombsites on the attack/retake.
This device might latch on to an enemy in-game, although details on this ability seem unclear.
Riot Games has not yet officially released Harbor, so details of his abilities remain unclear. But judging from the trailer video – these are the possible candidates for Harbor’s abilities in Valorant.
