Eastern European (EEU) powerhouse, Virtus.pro announced that it is parting ways with carry player, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev. The organization stated that RAMZES666’s contract lasts until the end of TI11 and because the team failed to qualify for the event through the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), they had a mutual separation.
The official blog post revealed that VP was initially searching for a carry player with experience and RAMZES666 was there to help them. Despite a strong Tour 3 performance, Virtus.pro couldn’t make it to TI11.
Sometimes a group of highly skilled players does not add up to a strong team. Therefore, we made a joint decision to end our cooperation, fully confident that both parties will benefit from it.

RAMZES666 is a well-known CIS prodigy who has 5 Major wins under his belt. He achieved this incredible feat together with Virtus.pro but this time around, he will depart the team to explore other opportunities.
It felt good to go back to the familiar den for a while, but now it’s time to move on. I wish the guys good luck and hope to meet them again in the tournaments.

Virtus.pro’s DPC journey – so close yet so far
There is probably nothing more upsetting than being a step away from TI11 and not making it. And Virtus.pro has been in that situation 4 times. Back during the PGL Arlington Major, Virtus.pro celebrated its direct invite to TI11 as they have accumulated enough DPC points. But it turns out, Valve was using a different method to calculate the DPC points and the invite went to Fnatic instead.
The team, once again, was at the brink to qualify for TI11 in the EEU TI11 qualifier. But right at the Grand Final against BetBoom Team, they fell short. But it is not over as they had another chance through the LCQ. But the coveted TI11 slot slipped away from their grasps after losing in the LCQ Upper Bracket and again in the Lower Bracket.
