Red Bull Home Ground history
As this is the third event of this nature by Red Bull, we have already had insight into what to expect. Last year’s Red Bull Home Ground saw Team Liquid with cNed as MVP claim the title, playing through the ‘home’ and ‘away’ match system in Bo3 and Bo5.

The event format works on the unique play of team’s choosing their best map and then playing them to progress onto the next stage; the pro teams face off against one another to make it to finals. There is also the ‘home’ and ‘away’ format which is carried throughout the tournament, wherein teams choose their ‘home’ maps for the opening two games.
Win both ‘home’ and ‘away’ matches and the team automatically advances – winning the tie that would take place. At finals the final two teams compete for a chance at the $100,000 prize pool, the trophy and the title.
