PMPL SEA Championship Fall League – Talking points before Week 3

The fall season of the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Southeast Asia (SEA) Championship is currently underway. So far, two weeks of the league stage have been wrapped up and all the attention will now shift to the crucial final week. This will decide the 16 teams who will advance to the Finals of the SEA Championship.

The PMPL SEA Championship is happening from Sept. 28 to Oct. 23 as an online event. There is a lot at stake in the competition as it has a prize pool of $200,000. Additionally, the top five teams will advance to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022.

Complete Thai domination at the top of the table

Over the past year, it has become pretty clear that Thailand has become one of the best regions in terms of competitiveness globally.

That is something that has been on high display at the SEA Championship. There are five teams from Thailand in the PMPL SEA Championship – and they all occupy the top five spots in the standings.

Tough battle at the top of the table

While the prize pool and PMGC slots will be decided on the basis of the grand finals, winning the league stage is a huge confidence boost and also grants bonus points to the teams.

Currently, The Infinity, Bacon Time, and TEM Entertainment are all tied in Bonus points with 36 each. FaZe Clan, Vampire Esports, and ShineLike Diamond are not far behind at 32, 30, and 28 points, respectively.

It’s surely going to be an intense final week.

Who will be eliminated in the league stage?

There are 20 teams competing in the league stage, but there are only 16 slots in the grand finals.

At the end of the three weeks, the bottom four teams with the least Bonus Points will be eliminated. Currently, these are 4Rivals, BN United, Box Gaming, and Don’t Break Dreams.

The competition isn’t over for them, though, as a good final week will see them through to the grand finals. All four teams have been impressive in their regional leagues and fans will definitely be hoping to see them show up in Week 3.
