BOOM Esports picks up a huge addition to the organization, welcoming legendary Dota 2 player, Khoo “Ohaiyo” Chong Xin as the Dota 2 team’s official analyst. This announcement comes just in time for BOOM Esports’ debut at TI11, where the team will compete for the world champion title.
Ohaiyo is a prominent Dota 2 veteran who holds a legacy in the Dota 2 pro scene. He made an impressive debut at TI3 placing 3rd. He then continued to partake in multiple TIs including Dota 2 Majors and Minors. With a colossal record, Ohaiyo built a strong presence in the Dota 2 sphere.
Joining BOOM Esports this year also marks Ohaiyo’s reunion with a former teammate, Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung, who is currently coaching BOOM Esports. Both of them are known for working closely together in the industry, playing as teammates under Orange Esports at TI3 and Fnatic at TI5. They also played together under IO Esports in 2020.
