Diretide is back’ was announced on the Dota 2 TI stream shortly after Team Liquid eliminated Team Aster. This is the first time since 2013 that China does not have a Dota 2 team in the top 3 of the International.

One of the most beloved Dota 2 events of the year, Diretide will return for 2022. The in-game event will see players punch greevils, skate through to collect rewards and more. 

When does Diretide release?

The Diretide event will release shortly after conclusion of TI11. Valve has not officially released the exact date for Diretide release date, but it would ideally release shortly after Ti11.

This year, the Dota 2 battlepass has two parts – the first part concluding with The International 2022. The second part of TI11, which also includes several new cosmetics and features will continue after TI11.

How to play Dota 2 Diretide?

The previous year’s Diretides saw players run through various levels in-game. The levels are usually very easy to play but to master them is quite difficult.

Players go around the map collecting candy (greevil’s Candy) and the team with the most candies gets an advantage. 

The Dota 2 International 2022 features the best Dota 2 teams from all over the world. 24 teams arrived in Singapore and only one will take the title of the best team in the world. This year, there have been several players that have already announced their retirement – including Somnus, Matumbaman and more.
