What is Persona 5 Royal?

Persona 5 Royal is a highly lauded JRPG with over 100 hours of gameplay. You play as a high school student who does normal teenager things during the day (he attends school, socializes with friends, etc.) but goes on heroic adventures at night.

Royal is an updated and expanded version of the original Persona 5, which launched in the US in 2017. It includes new characters and locations, plus a whole third semester that wasn’t included in the original release. Additionally, it offers a number of quality of life updates, like ammo refilling after battles. You can check out our 10/10 Persona 5 Royal review for more information.

Speaking of the Persona series, publisher Atlus also confirmed that Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable will also be coming to all the modern systems following the release of Persona 5 Golden.
