Florida Mutineers have become the latest team to officially reveal their roster for the 2023 Call of Duty League season. Their team will consist of Javi “Vikul” Milagro, Carson “Brack” Newberry, Mike “MajorManiak” Szymaniak and Colt “Havok” McLendon.
Mutineers revealed their roster on Twitter on Monday, September 19, showcasing three new additions to their squad.

The team have completely reinvented their roster from the end of the Vanguard season, with three new members to the starting roster of the Misfits Gaming-owned organisation.
Big changes have come for the team after failing to reach the Championship Weekend of the Call of Duty League. A lackluster performance at Major 4 in New York led to the team missing out on the chance to compete for the title of best team in the world.
Those changes have seen Cesar “Skyz” Bueno, Joe “Owakening” Conley and Brendan “2ReaL” Stockdale leave the team. Skyz had been with the Mutineers team since the conception of the Call of Duty League.

The returning Major
The one player returning to their roster for the new season is MajorManiak. He didn’t start Vanguard on the Mutineers roster. After Florida bought him out from his substitute contract at the Minnesota Rokkr, Szymaniak finished it strongly with the Mutineers team.

Major is one of the premier talents in Search and Destroy in the CDL. His ability to choose his gunfights well and read the map like no other truly set him apart. It was no surprise that the introduction of MajorManiak to the team at the tail-end of last season rejuvenated a team that looked incredibly disjointed in that mode.
Faith in Vikul and Brack
Two of the players that have been brought into the team for the new season competed against each other in Vanguard’s Challengers Championship Grand Final.
Brack and Vikul both had stand-out years in the Challengers system. Vikul was part of the Toronto Ultra Academy team that dominated the whole season. Brack was one of the only players to be on a team that beat them. Not once, but twice.
Both Brack and Vikul came away with two LAN wins last season, with every single event in Challengers in Vanguard being won by one of the two of them.

Newberry is one of the best flex players in the system. He has been waiting patiently for a chance to show what he can do in the League. He was signed to the original Toronto Ultra roster. It was a team that was made up of 10 players that they chose from on a week-to-week basis. He didn’t make a single appearance for that team and was instead relegated to Challengers action.
Vikul took a huge risk last season. He flew himself out from Spain to compete in NA Challengers. He then started off as a player that not many wanted to take a risk on. Milagro quickly developed a strong bond with now-Ultra starter Thomas “Scrappy” Ernst. The two then formed a great team that also included, at the time, Charlie “Hicksy” Hicks and Mohak “MohaK” Kumar.
Vikul developed over the course of the season into one of the most explosive and impressive SMG talents. There were worries that visa problems could prevent a move into the Call of Duty League but with a three-month gap between seasons, those problems were swiftly ironed out.
Causing Havok
The final piece to the puzzle and now SMG-duo with Vikul is another former Minnesota Rokkr player. Colt “Havok” McLendon had a thunderous season in the CDL in Cold War. He carried it through to an impressive season in Vanguard.
He has shown time and time again how much ability he has and that he is more than deserving of a spot in the League. The dynamic between him and Vikul will be a very interesting one and they could progress into being one of the most formidable duos out there.
It will be interesting to see how the two function together. During a lot of the Challengers season of Vanguard, Vikul was more than happy to play a slower and less impactful role in order to see his teammate fry and eventually win. That could end up being the case here too.
Mutineers also confirmed that David “Davpadie” Maslowski will start the season on the bench. Phillip “Willett” Willett will continue to coach the team.
