Team Secret vs OpTic Gaming

Game One started with an early aggression from Team Secret with demos everywhere. OpTic kept pressuring and finally got the opportunity to get a goal. Team Secret’s defense was strong but they failed to get a shot, giving the first win to OpTic Gaming.

In Game 2, it was a slow early game until OpTic managed to score the first goal. Team Secret managed to catch up with Olímpio nxghtt Torres scoring a goal in a well-positioned attack.

OpTic scored another one, causing Team Secret to get more aggressive. Another goal from each side was scored but unfortunately, it’s not enough for Team Secret as OpTic took Game 2. In Game 3, Andres “dreaz” Jordan double-tapped off the ceiling, taking advantage of the open space.

Team Secret, with time going against them, was fiercely attacking but OpTic Gaming defended successfully. They lost the game with a 0:1 score.

This is the end of Team Secret’s journey in the Major. OpTic Gaming continues on their Lower Bracket run. They will meet against FURIA Esports in the next series.

Moist Esports vs Pioneers

Pioneers underdog run surprised everyone. Whatever the outcome might be, they already won big as they have secured the qualification to the World Championship.

Game One started with an aggressive attack from Moist Esports but an equally heavy defense by Pioneers. The Pioneers managed to score a goal after multiple shot attempts. Axel “vatira” Touret then managed to get a goal, bringing the game to overtime. Moist Esports managed to score an overtime goal.

In Game 2, Moist started the attack with a goal 8 seconds into the game. Pioneers then took advantage of an open goal, balancing the score. Pioneers tried hard to catch up to Moist Esports but time ran out and Moist Esports took the second game with a score of 4:2.

Pioneers did not go down easily. They scored the first goal against Moist Esports, managing to bring the game to overtime. As Pioneers defense gradually crumble, Moist Esports scored the winning goal with a score of 3:2.

This is the end of Pioneers amazing run in the Major. Moist Esports move forward to fight against Team Liquid, in what is dubbed as the El Splashico.

FaZe Clan vs FURIA Esports

“FaZe – you are good, but we came to represent a whole country.”

Shivers ran down our spine when we heard FURIA’s strong statement. The hope of a whole country, and region, rest on their shoulders. And they are carrying it well.

Going into Game One, CAOGi scored the first goal with a double tap, and FURIA continues on to score another 2 goals. Despite that early lead, FURIA faced a reverse sweep by FaZe Clan, bringing the game to overtime. FaZe Clan took Game 1 with a score of 4:3.

FURIA took the next 2 games with a score of 3:2 for Game Two and 2:1 for Game 3. This pressured Faze Clan to take action and we can see increasing aggression with Game 4. Faze Clan managed to bring it to Game 5 but that’s the end of their Major story as FURIA takes Game 5 with a score of 4:3.

We will see FURIA continue with the next match-up against OpTic Gaming.

G2 Esports vs Team Liquid

G2 Esports seemed to have it together in the first two games against Team Liquid. They scored the first three goals and Team Liquid tried to catch up. They managed to get one goal but it wasn’t nearly enough as G2 Esports took Game One. Game Two followed the same pattern with a three-goal lead by G2 Esports and Team Liquid seemed to have no answers for G2 Esports’ gameplay. No one thought Liquid can recover from that, but they did. They know they have to step up and took Game 3 with a score of 3:1.

G2 Esports took a lead in Game 4, almost winning them the series but Team Liquid got fierce in the last 30 seconds of the game, scoring two goals that brought them to Game 5.

Game 5 was an intense showdown. Team Liquid took the lead and despite G2 scoring a goal, they couldn’t keep up. Team Liquid won the game with a score of 2:1.

G2 Esports bids goodbye to their LANdon journey. Team Liquid will face Moist Esports in the next series.
