Guides

It is no secret that the Shadowlands run on soul-fuel, and Hearthstone players will be able to Infuse their cards to unlock their full potential. Infuse is a mechanic that upgrades cards while they are in your hand after a certain amount of friendly minions die.

Infused Frozen Touch

The Infuse Keyword could be compared to two friendly Hearthstone mechanics, Avange or Corrupt. After cards get Infused with anima, they transform into a new card in your hand, like Corrupted cards, but gain the Infused effect. The number by the Infuse Keyword represents how many friendly minions need to die for the card to upgrade, similarly to the Avenge effect introduced to Battlegrounds.

Hearthstone is an extremely visible game, so to highlight the change, Infused cards have different art than the regular version. Once you upgrade the card, it will stay that way for the rest of the game. However, there is an exception to this rule, Sir Dire Denathrius.

Sire Denathrius, the Endlessly Infused

The Murder at Castle Nathria expansion wouldn’t be complete without Sire Denathrius, the Endlessly Infused. The anima hoarder legendary is different than every other Hearthstone Infuse card, it does not have a limit to how much you can upgrade it.

Sire Denathrius Legendary

Infused Sire Denathrius – will still upgrade after a friendly minion dies

As long as you have Sire Denathrius in your hand, the damage it deals will keep increasing, Infusing after each friendly minion dies. The power level of this Hearthstone legendary will be dependent on how much play the Infuse Keyword sees play.

The Infuse Keywords seems to be a new shift towards board-centric game plans. Anima only comes from friendly minions, so the only way to Infuse your cards will be to have minions on board.

Will the new Infuse Keyword be the center of the next Hearthstone meta in the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion? Stay tuned to Esports.gg for the answer and more Hearthstone news and updates. See you next time at Castle Nathria.
